capoeira espaco

Summer is coming fast and soon my group will start outdoor trainings. So I need recommendations for good shoes for outdoor capoeira. We train on asphalt, slate stone, sometimes on grass. I'd like something lightweight, not too much of a tread, form-fitting, with some support, but which will still let me feel the ground.

Any ideas?

Wow! Those things are wild. lol I think it would be one helluva statement if you showed up with those things on. No telling what KIND of statement you'd make, but you would be unique! Those look really good for training on hard or unforgiving ground, but I think concrete would eat them up kinda fast.

Could always go for these...especially if you like samba too (And who doesn't really)

I'm still waiting to get my first pair...sigh.....
Wanted some for Capoeira and Salsa (My second love) for ages.....

There are others from Brazil that are similar but I don't know the name...
Run a google search and just keep going...they come up after a while....

Often the soles are made from old tyres....just like a faithful aramé made the old way hehe
(Something to think about....hmmm)

doesn't matter. a capoeirista should be able to play in anything.

I know I have...

true true!

But then again after a gentle giant from my group landed on my foot and took my big toe for a slide across about a meter of rough concrete I felt it may be pleasant to have back up.....even if I could do with out (And grow my skin back)
:o)

you should see my feet.

if i play outside, i wear kicks. as a b-boy, i won't lie, i have kicks for b-boying and kicks for capoeira.
cause they scuffed up. but if i happen to be walking and see a roda (which is rare), i will play with what i have on.

i found that the sole of the nike free shifts while you move (or at least move the way we do) and it causes you to loose balance...not very helpful in a roda... those toe things are weird!!!! If they had cushioning around the toes, ur probs would be solved janaina
