The symbol used by EBC is a emblem of oriental origin, the yin-yang. The berimbau is what defines the nature and unfolding of the game. In red (color of the highest graduation) is the name of the leader and founder of our academy, Mestre Oscar.
Founded in Rio de Janeiro, Grupo Senzala's history begins in 1963. Currently, Senzala has branches on almost every continent, and new branches keep growing in other parts of the world.
CAQ was formed in 2002 by Mestre Ombrinho. Widely respected in the international community of capoeira, CAQ has been invited to participate in capoeira events and conferences all over the world. CAQ is based in New York at 3 locations

Quizumba is an African word that simply means “celebration with music, singing, dance and drumming.”
