Capoeira an How its changed me
Capoeira wow were to start capoeira has changed my life so much an in so many ways that i could never imagine well lets begin my story
Well for a long time now I've known of capoeria but not in full detail just as alot of people you know typically seein the "Only the Strong" movie which for me was were i found capoeira an fell in love but jus never had the time to just go seek further info on Capoeira but thats besides the point. I was later just compeletly forgot of Capoeira but what brought it back to me, my brother Johnathan a.k.a Compromisso when i found out he had started taking classes i so wanted to join but couldn't again back to the fact i didnt have time plus i was savin to go to school and had bills to pay i'm sure you all understand that. So in this time that i was so busy i had alot of personal things going on in my life that weren't to peachy if u might say an i was just so down and out an felt i had no place in the world not only that i felt that some were in the mist of all the drama ,depression , and confusion going on in my life at the time I had lost myself. Now i had lost myself to a point were i just was depressed 24-7 and wanted to do nothin but sit at home in my room and just be a bum basically. It was bad trust me but i think we've all been there at some point or another, well after being in this state for about 6-7 months my brother would constantly start askin me to just go to one of his classes, to maybe come and take a class with him and after several excuses of not wanting or being able to go i gave in and went to a class.
I got home from work showered and got dressed in loose clothing for my bro told me to do so . Later we arrived at his acadamy, the first thing that happened when i walked into the room was that i was greeted and was welcomed with open arms, as i continued to walk in an made my way to take a seat i began to feel so many good vibes coming off of these people in the room as well as an enormous amount of raw energy that was just waiting to be put to use. Soon class began and i joined them i figured aww this will be easy im pretty athletic so i can pick up pretty quick an soon realized it wasn't as easy as it seemed. Well though the class was tough i fought through it and did the best i could an only what my body would allow me to at the time. Class soon ends , then everyone forms a circle an a Roda begins again i begin to feel that raw energy again, now i not feel it but see it being put to use. I see kicks fly, acrobatics ,and people buyin games continuing the flow of it the flow of the conversation, the flow of beautiful, smooth, artistic dance called Capoeira . Well i can tell after that night i came back for more and more and more and more soon enough i jumped in to my first roda were i sooned learned that train is nothin if i dont play in the roda for its were anyone person can learn more because you learn form each other. I slowly found myself going to class 3 days a week and also started to see that my life was changing and it slowly did a 360 i went from depression an being down to being happy and just very open to new things an tryin new things. What changed me Capoeira changed me, the people whom i met an i became friends with and are still friends of mine are what changed they showed me that theirs no need to be down an out all the time, Also the support of my girlfriend helped a whole lot for i needed it at the time.
So that their is my Capoeira story yea long i know but I just wanna say thanks to my bro - Copromisso for pushin me to join , my girl Mini aka Boo for her full support , My boy Ezra who till this day pushs me to better my game, also Frances whom has helped with my movements an still is when i need help, also Chris an Jose basically two cool ass dudes that u just wanna be around especially chris u kno being Contra Mestra and all lol but Thanks
