Sorry for taking soooooooooooooo long to reply. Haha! He came out to our 2007-2009 batizados. Great workshops. Also he bonked me in the head with the berimbau at one of our events but I hear he does this on purpose so I'm just the lucky one.
E ai!! Were you the one who told him that you knew me??? how funny, he was actually mentioning about it in class :) He was telling how much fun he had!! who's Batizado was it?
Not terribly long. I think 15 minutes. I love to write poetry so the scheme comes naturally. It's going to be the whole "writing in Portuguese" that gets me. I eventually want to start writing some good songs for the rodas! First I've got to get fluent in Portuguese. I realize that may take a while...lol thanks for reading it!
By the way, the picture with the suit and your chorda is freakin awesome! It's actually a kick ass idea in my opinion. Axe'!
Mis-West Side represent!!! Yo, I'm from Michigan, too! I tried to go to Muskegon this past winter break, but the flight didn't go through. As for myself, I started off with Capoeira Mandinga at EMU, and now am with Capoeira Senzala here in Hawaii. Hope you add me!
My ankle is coming along good man I hope to be up and back to my old self in no time you, then I'll have to make a trip up to see you guys. Good luck with trying to find a job in K-Zoo cause you gotta keep up your training for sure.
Hi Leao:
The Academia exists but many of their advanced students and instructors left a year ago. The first one was Morcego, he came to train with me in Capoeira Longe do Mar because he was tired of the protectionist atittude of Yaqui and Yoyo.
If you practice with CDO maybe you have heard of us, after all Mestre Suassuna has been 5 times to Mexico City to our batizado with a bunch of cordao´s crew; Kibe, Coruja, Saroba, Virgulino, etc. and we also work with Mestre Acordeón and the UCA.
To celebrate our first year we made a capoeira angola workshop with mestre Cabello, it was really cool. So, we are the youngest group in Qro. but we are working really hard. If you drop by to Qro. please visit us, the information is in our Blog, http://capoeiraqueretaro.blogspot.com/
Axé.
uhh...hmmm... online tutoring on knitting just doesnt cut-it! LOL yes...this means one thing! You have to visit NY! :) so what else do you do in your day-to-day life, besides being "Talented Mr. Rippley"?
