Hi! My name is Holly. I am learning from Coqui in Lancaster. Can't wait to meet you at the workshop. I will be the one passed out in the corner, no doubt! ha! I have a hard enough time keeping up with Coqui, I can't even begin to imagine the beating I am going to take from mestre Virguilino, but I am ready!
Do you sign or read lips? My 9 year old son has Down syndrome and Autism. We use lots of ASL with him which has really helped his communication skills. My daughter with to a sign language camp when she was younger. She learned quickly. I just wish she had someone around to use it more frequently. Jake just uses a few signs at a time. No real dialog. Mia, my daughter will be at the workshops as well but I am not sure on all the days for her yet. She is in school since she is only 11.
yeah man that's the new logo from mestre virgulino!! hey he said he might actually have some stuff to sell and I ordered some pants but I need to add additional today, let me know if you need any, they will be here next week.
give me the dates that you will be available to train when you are home for thanksgiving and i can set some things up. there is another guy im in contact with from new york that will be in town around the same time that im supposed to meet so i want to have open roda or something you know? keep in touch...its coming soon...
Hi JJ! Grupo ondas is performing at the International childrens festival at Wolf Trap next weekend, Sunday 14th. You are always welcome to come to the studio in Landmark Mall...why dont you drop by with some friends and play with us?
We have Roda on Saturdays. Class schedules are on our website, www.studioondas.com. We met in Alexandria Old Town once.
Oh I just saw your comment on my picture..lol well supposedly we are supposed to "feel" our opponents movement. A friend of mine tried to teach me to play a game with me blindfolded and i always find myself freaking out..but when im just told to close my eyes instead, I'm a bit more comfortable...lol It IS HARD! :)
I figured that if capoeira is challenging for me as a hearing person, it's got to be that much more difficult for a deaf person. Especially the music! How are you learning to play and sing?
Hey!
We are in Landmark, Alexandria. Grupo Ondas. About 25 - 30 minutes from DC. We'd love to have you join us for a roda! every Saturday , Landmark Mall 3rd floor. Studio Ondas. 1 o'clock!
Hey, JJ! Last time I saw you, you were walking on your hands because you hurt you ankle in the roda. I hope you've been better! Can't wait to see you again!
