In the army too, damn... That's crazy. ahahaha round is a shape, that much is true. ;)
My boxing? VVell, my dad vvas in the army for 25 years, and my brother vvas a marine. So they shovved me some stuff, so I could look after myself. Then one of my sisters boyfriends vvas a boxer, so he shovved me stuff. And I vvas a little shit, so I vvould get in fights. They vvould throvv vvild, I vvould hook to the body. (sorry 'bout the "v's"..) Just nonsense like that, getting into trouble. I have alvvays been pretty quick and light, so I use a lot of footvvork. And back as a kid, I vvas shorter than a lot of people I vvould fight so I really liked slipping and bodyvvork.. Can't box anymore, I vvould get all heated and forget I couldn't throvv kicks!
I'm trying I'm trying, but trouble's just so much damn fun, you knovv?
Things with the group are interesting.. we fluctuate between like, 18 people and 5 people. You really never can tell. The worst thing right now is we only have 1 class a week, and 1 open floor. It's just not enough training to be real.
Trouble following you? Tell me about it.. I'm fiendin' like a gatdamn junkie to go paint and be a f*^jin' criminal... *deep breath* So you used to box? Tell me about that, I boxed for years.. Nothing sanctioned, just street..
Damn, Mariah... it's been a minute, for really. I have been good, and bad.. all up and down that spectrum. Training, surviving.. Trying to give capoeira a shot in the arm here.. But it's good to hear from you, don't be such a stranger..
Oh where have you gone, what events? Jealous! I'm doing ok, trying to make stuff happen, keep capoeira going in my town... For the most part things are looking up.
i have been good an u jus been train hard as usual actually well just started train 7 days week now in an out of class so lately jus been extremely sore from workin out an workin on my game
nah would of love too though but apparently my group Liberdade well our other school in newark is havin a batizado this weekend so im goin too that plus my teacher is gettin a new cord so yea but ne ways i been good how been >???
Hahhaa, I have an injury buddy! Haa... My arm feels good today, I just gave it a solid 2.5 hours and it feels fine, plus I was rough-housing with like 4 kids aged 8-10 this afternoon.. They never get tired :) But they loved capoeira, they thought it was so cool...
Nice. I feel you on the injury tip, the weather is getting colder fast here, and it kills any joint I've ever injured. Which is pretty much all of them. My elbow hurts :(
But I use it as a blessing in disguise, it helps me concentrate more on my GAME and less on movements. Maybe your knee can do the same for you? Happy your instrutor is patient, my teachers have gone back 'n' forth on that subject. Sometimes I have to remind them, "I'm not gonna macacco on that side, my arm WON'T do it" but usually they are understanding. Bleeegh...
Good morning, anyways.
